Our comprehension of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) has undergone a remarkable evolution over the past four decades. Once considered a fatal event only diagnosed postmortem, AMI is now better understood, diagnosed through advanced techniques, and managed with interventions that have significantly improved patient outcomes.
